Requirements for using Spotify Connect with the Belkin SOUNDFORM ELITE G1S0002

Spotify® Connect is a feature of the Spotify media streaming service that allows you to listen to Spotify on speakers, televisions and other compatible devices using the Spotify app as a remote.  You can use either the Spotify desktop app or web player on your computer or the Spotify mobile app on your phone or tablet.

Spotify Connect functionality is slightly different than the Spotify functionality with Alexa.  To use Spotify with Alexa-enabled devices, a paid Spotify subscription is required.  For devices with Spotify Connect, you can use Spotify with both free and paid subscription.  This means you can have a free Spotify subscription and control playback using the Spotify app or Alexa and your voice.

Requirements for Spotify Connect
  • A free or paid Spotify account.  To open an account, click here.
  • A way to access Spotify
  • Spotify app on your mobile device
  • Spotify desktop app
  • Spotify web player
  • A Belkin SOUNDFORM™ ELITE Hi-Fi Smart Speaker + Wireless Charger, G1S0002 that has been set up and connected to Wi-Fi.
  • The device you are using Spotify on must be connected to the internet.

After your Belkin SOUNDFORM ELITE G1S0002 is linked to your Spotify account, you can play music on the speaker through the Spotify app on your mobile device no matter what network it is connected to.
