Configuring System Sleep Time on a Mac® Computer

System Sleep is a power-saving feature on your computer that allows it to power down when it becomes idle and quickly resumes full-power operation when you want to start working again. This article will discuss how you can configure System Sleep Time on your Mac® computer.

To do this, follow the steps below:

Step 1:
Click the Apple   icon and select System Preferences.

NOTE:  You can also click the System Preferences  icon on the dock at the lower portion of the window.

Step 2:
On the System Preferences window, click the Energy Saver icon under Hardware.

Step 3:
On the Energy Saver window, set the Computer Sleep setting to your preferred time by dragging the arrow pointer.  Your computer will automatically adjust to your preferred setting.  Close the window once done.

QUICK TIP:  You may also opt to choose Never.

NOTE:  The Display sleep settings need not be changed.

System Sleep Time on your Mac computer should be configured by now.
