Configuring the Belkin RT3200’s FTP server for External Storage access

File Transfer Protocol (FTP) servers are useful especially if you are hosting files that are accessed by remote users on the internet.  This article will give you instructions on how to set up an FTP server behind a Belkin WiFi 6 Router, RT3200.

Before you begin:

To enable the FTP server, first you must create one user account for your Belkin RT3200’s External Storage feature.  For instructions, click

Step 1:
Access your router’s web interface.  For instructions, click here.
 

Step 2:
Click on Configuration.
 

Step 3:
Click on External Storage then FTP Server.

Step 4:
Check the Enabled FTP box.

Step 5:
Click the Select drive drop-down menu and choose your external storage device.  In the example below, the drive name is DT101.

NOTE:  The default FTP port number is 21.  You can specify a different FTP port number into the field if needed.
 
Step 6:
Click Save to apply settings.
