Scenario: Computers using the Belkin F1DN104KVM-UN-3 or Belkin F1DN204KVM-UN-3 with Radeon™ Pro WX 3100 Graphics, Radeon RX 550 Series Graphics or AMD Radeon™ R7 200/300 Series Graphics display low screen resolutions of 640 x 480 and 800 x 600 with the latest February 2020 AMD drivers. The low resolution cannot be changed and all other options in the AMD Control Panel are grayed out.
To resolve this issue, follow any of the following solutions:
Solution #1: Create a custom display mode for the Radeon video card.
Custom display modes can be used to fix any compatibility limitations for your Radeon video card. To do this, you need to access the Custom Resolutions feature on your Radeon Software, configure your display settings for your custom display mode, and apply this through the Windows® Display settings or via the graphics menu. For more instructions on how to do this, click here.
NOTE: If you are having difficulty navigating under 800 x 600 resolution while creating a custom display mode, it is suggested to remove the KVM from the circuit, create the custom display mode, then add the KVM back into the circuit and apply the custom display configuration once the KVM is connected.
Solution #2: Identify the Radeon video card in your computer and follow the instructions below:
For Radeon Pro WX 3100 Graphics, the latest AMD drivers (version 19.Q4.1 and later) removed the option to toggle on the Extended Display Identification Data (EDID) emulation in the AMD Video Control Panel. To resolve the issue, download and roll back to version 19.Q1.1 here.
For the models listed below, download and roll back to AMD driver version 17.7.1 here. All Graphics listed below are compatible with AMD driver 17.7.1.
