Getting to know the Micro-USB jack on the Belkin Fusive Bluetooth Speaker, G2A1000

The Belkin Fusive Bluetooth Speaker, G2A1000 has a Micro-USB jack that has the following functions and features:

  • DC supply via USB 5 V power adaptors – the Belkin Fusive Bluetooth Speaker, G2A1000 charges via 5 V USB power adaptors.  Most mobile phone chargers, charging ports in automobiles and some airlines can be used to charge Fusive.
  • Charge from a computer’s USB port - when the Belkin Fusive Bluetooth Speaker, G2A1000 is connected to a fully active USB Host such as on a computer, it will be detected as a high power device and receives charge current to charge its battery.
  • Debug/Service port - the Belkin Fusive Bluetooth Speaker, G2A1000 includes a debug/service interface that will allow manufacturer and development personnel to reset or update application and boot-level firmware without product disassembly.  This interface utilizes the micro-USB port rather than introduce a dedicated interface.
