Connecting an Apple TV® to your Wi-Fi

Apple TV® is a digital media receiver that lets you stream contents, wirelessly, from iTunes®, Netflix®, MLB.tv and other selected streaming media.  Follow the steps below to learn how to connect your Apple TV to your Wi-Fi.

NOTE:  Make sure you know your Belkin router's Wi-Fi settings before connecting your device to the network.  For a step-by-step guide on how to check them, click here.

Step 1:
On your Apple TV's Home screen, go to Settings.

NOTE:  If you're setting up your Apple TV for the first time, you will only see two options: Computers and Settings.  This happens when the Apple TV is not yet configured to connect to your Wi-Fi.

Step 2:
Select General > Network.

Step 3:
On the Network screen, select Configure Wi-Fi.

NOTE:  Make sure that your router has a working Wi-Fi, which you can verify by checking if there is a device that can get online wirelessly through it.

Step 4:
Select your Wi-Fi name from the list of available networks.

Step 5:
Enter your Wi-Fi password in the Wi-Fi Password screen and then select Submit.

NOTE:  The Wi-Fi password is case-sensitive.

Step 6:
The Configuration Succeeded screen will appear confirming that your Apple TV is now connected to the Wi-Fi.  Select Done to complete the setup.

After setup, the Network screen will appear showing your Wi-Fi information such as your Wi-Fi name, IP address, Wi-Fi address and signal strength.
