After updating my computer to Windows® 10 version 1709, I could no longer see the external drive connected to my router and share the files to my network. I am also getting a notification saying that network discovery is turned off on my computer. How do I resolve this issue?

Solution:
Setting up the external storage feature of your router allows you to store and share content across your network. To learn how to set up your storage device, go to the product support page of your Belkin router. After setting up the external storage, make sure to map the drive on your computer. For instructions, click here.
After mapping the drive, make sure to enable network discovery and SMB 1.0/CIFS File Sharing Support on your computer to resolve the issue above. Follow the steps below:
Enabling network discovery
Enabling SMB 1.0/CIFS File Sharing Support

Click Close.

Step 7:
Log in to your computer once it reboots. You should now see your external drive and be able to share your files to the network.
