Yes.  The anti-microbial coating used on the case can reduce bacterial growth by up to 99%.  It is based on third-party lab results conducted under the JIS Z 2801-2010 test standard.

The anti-microbial coating contains a biocidal product:  Dimethyloctadecyl[3-(trimethoxysilyl)propyl] ammonium chloride propyl] ammonium.

The case can be removed from your phone by grasping a corner and pushing the case of the phone.  Once a corner is released, your phone can be removed by pulling the phone out.
