Setting up and using the Belkin MMA001

The Belkin Magnetic Face Tracking Mount, MMA001 lets you enjoy the freedom to move while creating content with a magnetic phone mount with face recognition tracking that turns 360° and shoots from any angle.  Featuring built-in magnetic technology, this mount snaps securely onto the iPhone® 12 or iPhone 13 with easy, one-handed placement.

This article will show you how to set up and use the Belkin MMA001.

Before you begin, make sure to do the following:

 
  • Insert three AA batteries to the Belkin MMA001.  For complete instructions, click here.
  • You must have the Belkin Mount app installed to your MagSafe®-compatible phone.  To get the app, click here for instructions.
 
Step 1:
Attach a MagSafe
-compatible phone to the Belkin MMA001.

QUICK TIP:  Your phone can be adjusted manually 15° forward or 45° back.

Step 2:
Press and hold the button on the side for 2 to 3 seconds or until you see a blinking blue light above the button.

Step 3:
Open the Belkin Mount app and follow the on-screen instructions.

NOTE:  You will see the following screens during initial setup.

Step 4:
Once you have completed the initial setup, the light on the mount should be blinking white.

Step 5:
Select the app you would like to use the mount with.

Step 6:
Choose between using the Front Camera or Rear Camera.

Step 7:
On the next screen, tap OK.

Step 8:
Tap on Start Broadcast.

Step 9:
Open the app you selected in Step 5.

Step 10:
Choose either Front Camera or Rear Camera on the app.  It should be the same as the one you chose on Step 6.

QUICK TIP:  To toggle between face tracking (solid white light) and standby (blinking white light) modes, press the button on the mount.

The camera on your phone should now be following your face.  When this happens, you can already start recording videos or a live stream.
