How to perform a Wi-Fi reset on the Wemo Outdoor Plug

Performing a Wi-Fi reset removes customizations from your Wemo® device.  It is recommended in cases when your Wemo can no longer connect to your network after changing your Wi-Fi name or Wi-Fi password.

This article provides a step-by-step guide in resetting the Wi-Fi settings of your Wemo WiFi Smart Outdoor Plug, WSP090.  For instructions on restoring your Wemo Outdoor Plug to factory defaults, click

Step 1:  With your Wemo plugged in, press and hold the Power button.

Step 2:  Continue to hold the power button down for 5 seconds and the status light will begin to rapidly flash white.

Step 3:  Release the power button to Wi-Fi reset the Wemo Outdoor Plug.  The light will alternately blink white and orange when in setup mode.
