The Belkin BOOST↑CHARGE™ UV Sanitizer + Wireless Charger, WIZ011 uses ultraviolet light to emit UV-C light when sanitizing your devices. The dosage of UV-C energy emitted is low and follows FDA guidelines for home sanitization devices.
While there are safety features built-in to the Belkin WIZ011 to limit the exposure to UV-C light, the following safety guidelines should be followed when using the product.
1. Always make sure that the Belkin WIZ011 is closed completely before starting the sanitization process.
2. Do not open the Belkin WIZ011 during the sanitization process. Although built-in safety features will stop the sanitization process if the Belkin WIZ011 is opened, there is the potential for exposure to UV-C light when the unit is opened.
3. Do not look into the sanitization chamber while a sanitization cycle is in process.
4. Ensure the sanitization process has stopped completely before opening the Belkin WIZ011 to retrieve your devices.
5. If you need to stop the sanitization cycle early, press the button on the front of the Belkin WIZ011 until both the green and blue status lights turn OFF.
6. Should the safety cutout stop working and the sanitization cycle does not stop when you open the Belkin WIZ011, discontinue use immediately and contact Belkin for further assistance.
