The stand does not contain any straps or fasteners to tether the phone to it.  The stand features non-slip rubber strips on the base to help hold your phone on the stand.
 
2.  Can this charger be used with a case?
 
Yes, the charger will work with phone cases that are up to 3 mm thick.
 
3.  Does the charger support fast charging?
 
Yes, it supports Samsung and Apple fast-charging.

No, the Belkin F7U083 is designed for indoor and home usage.  It should not be in direct sunlight or in a car.
 
FEATURES AND FUNCTIONALITY
 
1.  How many charging coils does this charger feature?
 
The Belkin F7U083 features a single charging coil.
 
2.  How fast will this charge my phone?
 
Using the included Quick Charge 3.0 AC adapter, the Belkin F7U083 will charge Samsung Quick Charge-capable devices from 0 to 80% in just 35 minutes.  Apple devices supporting Apple Quick Charge feature will charge at 7.5 W.  For all other devices, the charger provides up to 5 W of charging power. 
 
Overall Charging speeds will depend on the following:

• Apps and services running on your device
• The current level of charge on the battery while charging
• The battery capacity and the condition of the battery while charging

3.  What do the light status indicators mean?

4.  What does Foreign Object Detection mean?
 
When an object or device that is not Qi-compatible is placed on top of the wireless stand, it will detect this and will not charge.  This keeps both your device and charging stand safe.
 
5.  What orientations can my phone be in while charging?
 
You can wirelessly charge your mobile device while maintaining full access to it in landscape or portrait mode.
 
NOTE:  The charging coil is in the center of the stand.  Your phone must be placed on the stand with the back of the phone facing down.
 
6.  What do I do if there is a charging error?
 
In case of a charging error, please check the following:
 
1. That the device is properly aligned on the charging stand.
2. That a Qi-compatible device is placed on the charging stand.
3. That the charging stand and phone are not overheating.
 
7.  What do I do if my phone begins to overheat while charging?
 
The charger is designed to slow down charging if the phone starts to warm and will stop charging completely if the phone remains hot.  If you notice that the phone is hot, remove the phone from charging for a few minutes to cool down.  Make sure to turn OFF any power-hungry apps or services that may be causing the phone to work hard and try charging again.
 
8.  How do I clean the charging stand?
 
You can use a standard electrical cleaning spray to clean the Belkin F7U083.
