The Belkin BOOST↑ CHARGE™ Power Banks 5K/10K are portable battery packs with different capacity for all users that may need to charge their electronic devices. These battery packs feature an over-charging protection for safety as well as an auto-sleep mode to prevent unnecessary power loss and improve the time it can hold its charge. These battery packs come in black and white.

2.  How do I know when my power bank is fully charged?

When your battery pack is fully charged, all four indicator lights will light up.

3.  Does my power bank support pass-through charging?

No, the Belkin BOOST↑ CHARGE™ Power Banks 5K/10K do not support pass-through charging.

4. Can I use my device while it is charging with these battery packs?

Yes.

5. Do my battery packs support fast charging?

Yes, however, the charge speed will vary depending on the need of your device.

6. How long do my battery packs hold their charge when not in use?

The battery pack features an auto-sleep mode to prevent unnecessary power loss and improve the time it can hold its charge. At full capacity, it has been observed that the charge has not diminished more than half after a year’s time.

NOTE: It is recommended to store the device between 50 percent to 75 percent charge level.

7. Do I need an adapter to charge my battery packs?

Yes, you will need an adapter with a USB-A port to charge you battery pack.

8. What are the dimensions and weight of my battery packs?

The Belkin F7U045 weighs 155 g and its dimensions are 154.45 x 71.00 x 14.30 mm. The Belkin F7U046, however, weighs more at 240 g and its dimensions are 154.45 x 71.00 x 17.00 mm, respectively.

9. How many times can I fully charge my device if the battery pack is fully charged?

It depends on the battery capacity of your device. Typically, smartphones can be charged 1.5 times with the Belkin F7U045 and three times with the Belkin F7U046.

10. What type of USB ports do these battery packs have?

Belkin F7U045 - One USB-A port at 2.4 A.

Yes, these are intelligent chargers that have over-charging protection. The safety features of this product have been tested under fault conditions.

The Belkin F7U045 has a power output of 5 V, 2.4 A. The Belkin F7U046, on the other hand, has a power output of 5 V, 3.4 A (1.0 A on one port and 2.4 A on the other port).

TROUBLESHOOTING

1. How long do these battery packs charge from empty to full?

It can take up to 2+ hours to charge the pack from empty to full, depending on the capacity of the battery and type of charger.

2. Can these individual battery packs charge a laptop?

It is NOT recommended to use a battery pack in charging a laptop. However, in some instances, laptops can support low charging power (5 V type).

3. Is there a minimum draw requirement?

The product has been designed and tested to support charging of various consumer electronic devices that may have different minimum requirements. There may be a special case where the consumer electronic charges below the minimum draw requirement, thus causing the battery pack to go into auto-sleep before the charging is completed. The battery pack, however, has an extended auto-sleep threshold so that it stays ON longer to support such a device.

4. Is there an ON / OFF button on these battery packs?

Yes. Press this button to start charging your device.

5. How many devices can one of these battery packs charge at the same time?

The Belkin F7U045 can charge one device at a time while the Belkin F7U046, since it has two USB ports, can charge two devices at a time.

6. Are the batteries inside replaceable?

No.

7. How many times can my battery pack be charged before it starts to lose capacity?

The battery is designed to support an industry standard of 300 - 500 cycles before significant capacity loss.

8. Can I charge my battery packs with a car charger?

Yes.

9. Does it matter which port on the Belkin F7U046 I use?

Yes. The Belkin F7U046's ports provide different Amperes. One port provides 1.0 A while the other provides 2.4 A.

10. What do the light indicators on my battery pack mean?

The light indicators provide an approximation of how much charge is left in the battery pack. The number of lights lit correspond to the following:

Four lights - 100 percent charged
Three lights - 75 percent charged
Two lights - 50 percent charged
One light - 25 percent charged

11. What happens if I press the button at the top of my battery pack?

Pressing the button lets you check the remaining charge of your battery pack. It will also start the charging process on your connected device/s.

12.  Are there any limitations when taking these battery packs on an airplane?

It is recommended to check with the airport personnel and the airline carrier prior to departure as regulations do change.

NOTE: Belkin products are properly marked to communicate the necessary details. Furthermore, smaller-capacity battery packs tend to have less restrictions.
