Connecting your Apple TV® to your wireless network using a static IP address

Apple TV® is a digital media receiver that lets you stream contents from iTunes®, Netflix, MLB.tv, and other selected streaming media wirelessly in your network.  This article will teach you on how to connect an Apple TV® to your Belkin router's wireless network using a static IP address.
 
NOTE:  Before you begin, make sure that you have already connected to the network wirelessly.  Otherwise, click here for instructions.

 
Step 1:
On your Apple TV®’s Home screen, go to Settings.
 
Step 2:
Select General > Network.
 
Step 3:
On the Network screen, select Configure TCP/IP.
 
Step 4:
On the Network Setup screen, select Manually to assign a static IP for your wireless network.
 
Step 5:
On the Wi-Fi TCP/IP Setup screen, enter the following and then select Done after each setting:
  • IP Address
  • Subnet Mask
  • Router Address
  • DNS Address
Step 6:
The Configuration Succeeded screen will appear to confirm that your Apple TV® is now connected to the Wi-Fi network with a static IP address.
