Streaming digital media content from your computer or Network Attached Storage (NAS) server wirelessly on your iOS device is possible with File Explorer. This application allows you to access your files from your computer or NAS server using your iPhone®, iPod touch® or iPad® letting you log in using your computer file sharing user account name and password or as a Guest.
To access files from your computer wirelessly using your iOS device, do the following first:

Ensure that your iOS device and your computer or NAS server are connected to the same network.

Ensure that the file sharing feature is configured and enabled to allow you to access files and folders from your computer.

Step 1:
Tap FileExplorer.
Step 2:
Tap the plus button to select the digital media content source.
Step 3:
Select the Computer, NAS option.
Step 4:
Check the Network Neighborhood section and select the computer or server you want to connect to. If you do not see the computer you want to connect to, tap Scan Network to refresh the list.
NOTE: If you still cannot find the computer you want to connect to, ensure that it is connected to the same network and the file and printer sharing is enabled then try scanning again.
QUICK TIP: Alternatively, you can enter the computer’s Display Name, IP Address and DNS Domain Suffix in the Computer Details section and the file sharing account User Name and Password in the Login As… section.
Step 5:
You will be prompted if you would like to connect to the computer as a Guest or a Registered User. Tap Registered User then enter your file sharing user or workgroup account details. Once done, tap OK.
NOTE: If you do not have a user account set up, you can select the Guest option. Depending on the access rights configured by the computer’s owner, the Guest option may have limited access to the shared folders.
Step 6:
Tap the folder containing the files you want to view or stream.
You now have access to files in the shared folders. To stream or view the file, tap on the file icon or filename.
