Disclaimers: Belkin’s Magnetically Attaching and Charging Products will leverage the magnetic alignment technology of MagSafe and take into consideration published MagSafe guidelines in the development of this separate magnetic module. We plan to add to the MagSafe ecosystem by creating products at every price point, for every consumer.
Our Magnetically Attaching and Charging Products will wirelessly charge iPhone up to 7.5W, but with the same convenience, quality and features at a more affordable price point as our “Made for MagSafe” accessories.
The following guidelines should be followed when using your iPhone with a Belkin magnetic attach or magnetic attach + charging accessory (“Magnetic Accessory”). These will help ensure proper functionality of your Magnetic Accessory as well as the safety of your iPhone.
1. It is recommended to use MFi-compliant MagSafe case on a device when using your Magnetic Accessory. MFi-compliant MagSafe cases are designed to work with your iPhone and assist in the MagSafe capabilities, ensuring a strong connection.
2. Do not place credit cards, security badges, passports, or key fobs between your iPhone and the magnetic holder portion of your Magnetic Accessory, as this might cause damage to the magnetic strips or RFID chips in those items.
3. If you are using the Apple MagSafe Wallet attached to your iPhone or iPhone Case, please remove the wallet before using your Magnetic Accessory; the wallet can impede both magnetic and charging functionality.
4. Please familiarize yourself with the strength of the magnet on your Magnetic Accessory in relation to the iPhone. Please attach and remove a few times to get a good feel for how strong the magnetic connection is between the two devices.
5. When moving your Magnetic Accessory to a new location, it is recommended that you first remove your iPhone from the magnetic connector. This will reduce the chance of your iPhone becoming accidentally detached from the magnetic connector and potentially damaging your iPhone.
6. If you keep your iPhone in a leather case while using your Magnetic Accessory, the case might show circular imprints from compression of the leather. This is normal, but if you’re concerned about this, it is recommended to use a non-leather case instead.
7. Magnetic Accessories are designed to be used with a single MagSafe compatible device at a time.
8. The Apple MagSafe charger should not be connected to your iPhone while using your Magnetic Accessory.
9. If you connect a Lightning cable to your iPhone while using your Magnetic Accessory, your phone will switch from charging wirelessly to charging with the Lightning cable. This is a feature of iOS. This will not impact the magnetic holding functionality of your Magnetic Accessory.
10. When your Magnetic Accessory is used in a car, please note that the magnetic attachment may not be as secure as using a mechanical clamping device.
