Introducing the Belkin MultiClave Secure KVM switch

March 28, 2025

What is the Belkin MultiClave Secure KVM switch?

Secure KVMs are designed for mission-critical applications in government, military, financial, healthcare, energy and any application seeking guaranteed isolation between systems at the operator’s desk. Belkin's MultiClave SKVM technology represents a significant advancement over traditional SKVMs, which typically limit operators to one network at a time from one or two monitors. Our MultiClave Series allows operators to utilize one or two monitors to manage and view up to 8 networks simultaneously.

With multiple predefined working modes, MultiClave offers flexible layouts for any task. Choose from single monitor modes like Side-by-Side, Quad and Quad-T, or dual monitor modes such as Duo/Matrix, Quad, and Scale. Switching modes is as simple as pressing a button, giving you seamless control over your workspace. For added flexibility, access additional modes, like Picture-in-Picture.

MultiClave delivers features comparable to high-cost cross-domain solutions—like persistent video feeds and color-coded quadrants for secure networks— but without the high price tag.

How the MultiClave SKVM works

MultiClave displays video outputs from all connected sources simultaneously, providing unmatched situational awareness. Spot changes in real time, and with just a click, make any screen interactive using your keyboard and mouse. This level of functionality provides unparalleled enclave-to-enclave navigation capabilities.

Belkin's MultiClave SKVM Series features Key Press Seamless Cursor Switching (KPSCS) for secure source switching. Enclave switching is seamless, with the keyboard and mouse transitioning to the next channel as the cursor crosses display borders, all while holding down the Control key. Users can also switch between channels using front panel buttons or optional remote controls.

The MultiClave SKVM Series is designed to be intuitive and easy to set up and use right out of the box.

Designed for the ultimate in user experience, Belkin MultiClave SKVMs are compatible with the optional Belkin SKVM Remote Control series including our 4- and 8-port variants. Using configurable channel designator lighting, the front panel and remote control provide visual indication as to the security enclave the operator is working on, eliminating potential user errors. Available accessories accommodate desktop mounting for 4-port, with included rackmount ears for 8-port MultiClave SKVMs to further declutter the desk and enhance ergonomics and efficiency.
