2. Do Belkin Powerline adapters use encryption?

Belkin Powerline adapters use 56-bit DES encryption to block access from the outside.  The key is set by using the HomePlug Configuration Utility on the CD.  By default, the protection is enabled.  However, it is recommended that you change the default network password.  All your HomePlug devices must use the same network password in order for the computers to be networked.  Make sure that all devices are loaded with the same network password.

3. What should I do if I'm unable to view the remote iTunes® shared library on my Powerline adapter?

If you are unable to see the remote computers' shared iTunes® library within iTunes® when connecting computers using Powerline, update the firmware of the device.  Belkin has released an updated firmware for the Powerline adapter which resolves this problem.

Please ensure that you are using the Powerline adapter's latest firmware (version 2.0.22 or higher).
