The Belkin F8Z880 is designed to enable best sound quality from your smartphone. For low-level recordings, activate the PRO setting to optimize audio and boost volume for an improved acoustic experience.
NOTE: Due to the characteristics of FM transmission, you will experience better sound quality when using the volume settings on your car stereo to adjust the volume when necessary while leaving your phone volume at a medium level.
PRO settings are activated by pressing the PRO button on the top of the Belkin F8Z880. When you press the PRO button, the Belkin F8Z880 will show the PRO setting on the LCD frequency display. Pressing the PRO button again will cycle through the PRO settings as follows:
- Press once to activate PRO settings
- Press twice to activate PRO 1 mode - boosts audio volume
- Press three times to activate PRO 2 mode - boosts volume further (ideal for older recordings)
- Press four times to activate
mode- transmits audio in mono, rather than stereo (recommended for podcasts and audio books) - Press five times to turn off PRO settings.
